Books:

  • It’s OK That You’re Not OK — Megan Devine

  • On Grief and Grieving — Elisabeth Kübler-Ross & David Kessler
A foundational book exploring the grieving process and emotional responses to loss.
  • The Grieving Brain — Mary-Frances O’Connor
A neuroscience-based look at why grief feels so intense and how the brain adapts to loss.
  • Bearing the Unbearable — Joanne Cacciatore
Especially powerful for deep loss, trauma, and compassionate presence in grief work.
  • Grief Counseling and Grief Therapy — J. William Worden
One of the best clinical books for therapists working with grief and bereavement.
  • The Wild Edge of Sorrow — Francis Weller
More soulful and existential; blends psychology, ritual, and meaning-making.
  • The Other Side of Sadness — George Bonanno
Research-focused and helpful for understanding resilience and the science of bereavement.
  • Finding Meaning — David Kessler
Expands on the stages of grief by introducing meaning-making after loss.
